CYC Recruitment - Updated 17th June

At All Saints we have a growing vision to be “A Church on the Way”. We want to follow Jesus’ way and fulfil his great commission to make disciples, helping others to follow him and obey his commands. A core part of this work is with families, children and youth, who we see as full participants in the kingdom of God.

Over the past few months the CYC (Children, Youth and Community) Review Group and been looking at our mission and how that impacts paid and voluntary roles at All Saints. We have talked to over 70 people and had many hours of discussion about what has been fruitful in the past and what God is calling us to in the future. 

This has resulted in the CYC recommending three appointments to the PCC

  • Children and Families Team Leader - full time or 2 part-time roles (agreed)
  • Youth Team Leader - full-time (agreed)
  • Connect Team Leader - part-time (needs additional development)

The key change is that all roles will work across church and the wider community.

On Monday, the 17th of May the PCC agreed to proceed to advertise and appoint the Children and Families Team Leader role as well as the Youth Team Leader role. The Connect Team Leader role still needs further development and will come back to the PCC in due course.

Both jobs are advertised on our website, Premier Jobs and on the New Wine jobs page. Please pray that the right candidates discover the adverts before the closing date on 7th July and that in the interview process we hear God clearly.

In addition, we are not waiting until September before we get things moving post lockdown. There will now be two informal groups: the first looking at children & families work over the summer so that the new Team Leaders can hit the ground running in September. The second group will develop the new Community Connect role and bring this back to the PCC in due course.
